Mythical bestiary Wikia

Tigermunks are fearsome monsters originated from North America, they are man-eating chipmunk monsters that grow to huge sizes similar that of the giant beaver, and they reflects both their fearsome predator-like nature and their deceptively harmless, rodent-like appearances. The name “Tigermunk” named after their appearance of tiger-like stripes on chipmunk’s stripes.

Appearance[]

Tigermunks are unobviously oversized chipmunks with the size of a wildcat. They retain the striped backs and cheek pouches of their smaller cousins but are twisted into a scarier look; the fur shows a sharper contrast of black and peanut brown striping, often mistaken for tiger markings from a distance. Tigermunks’ teeth are unnaturally long, with curved fangs protruding from the mouth like a predator’s, the claws are sharpened, useful for both climbing trees and slashing prey. They have glowing red eyes that shine in the dark, and bushy tails that lash like a whip when they prepare to pounce.

Behavior[]

Tigermunks are notorious for their aggressiveness. While normal chipmunks scurry and hoard seeds, tigermunks are fearless to stalk campsites at night, searching for food scraps or perhaps, the campers themselves. They are cunning, often waiting until their target is isolated before striking, but despite their fearsome reputation, the tigermunks with humors were blamed for stolen rations, missing boots, or shredded tents, much like raccoons and other woodland scavengers. They are notorious for raiding campsites, stealing food, and evading traps with clever tricks on campers. They hunt in packs or act as solitary predators, depending on the rodent physics. Their small stature allows them to disappear into the underbrush, making encounters fleeting yet memorable. They are rarely solitary in packs of them raiding a camp together, chittering like normal chipmunks but with a deep, unsettling growl underneath. Tigermunks generally/only get together to mating season, for females will usually give birth to between 18-21 kits every autumn. These chipmunk monsters are unobviously gentle parents, mated in pairs will generally stay together until the kits are old enough to leave the tree.
