Pegasi are a magical species of equines who are descended from the original Pegasus, son of the Immortal Poseidon, and the gorgon Medusa. Therefore, in a way, the gorgons and the pegasi are actually distantly related.
Appearance[]
Pegasi basically look like normal horses, but, due to their divine ancestry, one will never find a homely or ugly pegasus. They come in as much color variety as mundane horses, however, the main thing that separates them and mundane horses is that each pegasus has a pair of wings coming from their shoulders. These wings are usually bird-like in appearance, however, bat-like and insect-like wings are neither unheard of nor impossible.
Behavior[]
Pegasi, due to their divine lineage, are rather proud, intelligent creatures, who will only bond with those who show them the respect that they believe they deserve. There are some wild herds living in the wild, however, now there have been some that have been domesticated. When foals are born, just like mundane horses, they are able to walk about 90 minutes after they are born, however, flight isn't usually achieved until 2 months of age.
