They are mostly roadrunner-sized birds with wood-brown plumage, red and blue eye-markings, dot-like pupils, light gray talons and bear, dark brown triangular crests, black swirling marks on their flight feathers, and finally a tall, male peafowl-shaped tail feathers, alternating windy royal blue and dust purplish-black.

Thunderbirds are elemental birds that specifically use the powers of storms and weather. They are descended from Bennu, like the other elemental birds, however, they are also descended from the Native North American Immortal Thunder. They are the largest of the elemental birds, rivaling dragons, with mostly stormy-gray plumage, with electric-blue and electric-yellow flight feathers, stormy purple eyes, and lightning-shaped tail feathers, alternating electric blue and electric yellow.

They are sleek, predatory-looking, hawk-like birds with storm-gray plumage, feathers edged in glowing blue or gold, and thunderbolt-shaped eyes.

They are medium-sized birds with crystalline white plumage that shimmers like frosted glass, glacial-blue eyes, and icicle-shaped beaks and talons, and their swan-like wings leave trails of frost wherever they fly.

They have red/black/white feathers that naturally form sharp, blocky edges, making them appear angular rather than rounded. Their black-red square-shaped eyes glow with grid-like patterns, casino-shaped crests, toucan-like beak, and dodo-like talons.
