Kinie gers are a race of beings originally from Australia that have slowly spread worldwide.
Appearance[]
Kinie gers tend to look like humanoid quolls, however, with their scientific name dasyurus. They stand between three and six feet tall, depending on the region they come from. Their bodies are covered in soft, spotted quoll-like fur. Their muzzles are pointed and flexible, their eyes are large and adapted for dim light and their claws are sharp enough for climbing trees or rocky walls. All quolls have spotted tails; like kinie gers, they have long, spotted tails help them balance when running or scrambling across uneven ground. Many quoll people have marsupial’s pouches for carrying young, especially the females. They wear simple woven cloth wraps around the torso or waist, usually made from fibers found in their woodland environments.
Behavior[]
Kinie gers, similar to mundane quolls, they live in small family clans, usually led by the eldest female. They communicate using soft chittering sounds, gentle growls and tail gestures. They are generally peaceful but extremely defensive when danger threatens their young. They build burrow-homes, tree hollows or simple dens and spend their time gathering food, hunting small prey, caring for their young and maintaining their territory. Within their group, they show affection and reassurance through grooming and gentle vocalizations. Kinie Ger are cautious but not hostile, they are deeply devoted to their families and adapt quickly to their environment. They prefer to avoid conflict but will defend their home without hesitation; and their curiosity leads them to investigate tools, fabric and shiny objects, though always from a safe distance.
Kinie Ger value family unity above everything. They maintain oral traditions passed from elders to the young and often decorate their fur with natural pigments during celebrations or seasonal gatherings. They weave simple wraps and slings using plant fibers. While cautious of outsiders, they are willing to trade food or crafted items with those who approach respectfully.
